LymeAid UK provides private overseas Lyme disease tests to those who need, but can't afford them. The NHS test is flawed and whilst no test exists to rule out Lyme Borreliosis, most NHS doctors will not treat based on a clinical diagnosis alone and will misdiagnose as chronic fatigue syndrome/ME or fibromyalgia. A positive Lyme Disease test is the difference for many people between getting treatment on the NHS or not; or being able to successfully fundraise for and obtain private treatment or not.
